Almost two months ago, the announcement came that the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow was suspended because of the corona pandemic. Since then, the UN Climate Secretariat UNFCCC has revised a new date, and now it is all over.

On 1-12 November 2021, the climate summit will be held in Glasgow. This confirms Isabella Lövins (MP) press secretary for the environment and climate minister, TT. The message became clear during Thursday evening.

It is important that the crisis is climate protected

Isabella Lövin told TT in April, when the meeting was canceled, that it did not mean that climate work was paused. She also stated that she would have contact with colleagues to "not" lose momentum.

“It is extremely important that the economic recovery after this crisis is climate-secure. That is the issue that will be the most important given the major economic impact of the Corona crisis, "Lövin said.
