The family of a resident of a Landerneau nursing home (Finistère) filed a rape complaint earlier this week, reports Le Télégramme . According to the daily, the victim, a 91-year-old woman, reported having been sexually abused by another resident, a 90-year-old man. The latter allegedly entered his room on Sunday May 24 while the alleged victim was sleeping. She then sounded the alert and a nurse came.

The gendarmerie confirmed the filing of the complaint and specified that an investigation was under way. The family of the victim, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, must be received by the management of the establishment. The latter had already alerted relatives.
