Direct flights are allowed from 19 countries - but not from Sweden. In TV4 News morning, Social Minister Lena Hallengren (S) commented on the message.

- It is unfortunate that Swedes are expelled from Cyprus. Sweden during this crisis has really been a country that is trying to stand for open borders. Then it is clear that people cannot travel anywhere, but we advocate treating countries equally, ”she says.

Foreign Minister Ann inde (S) has so far not commented. But the Foreign Ministry writes in a comment to TT that Ann Linde on May 15 attended the EU Foreign Minister's meeting, which included travel restrictions within the EU:

"From the Swedish side, we emphasize what the European Commission has also said, that it should not be discrimination against different countries, but that there is a common view when opening it."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Swedes from all unnecessary trips to all countries. The recommendation is valid until July 15, then a new assessment must be made.
