The investigation did not reveal his real motivations

The 39-year-old man made a good reference to Allah during the facts, and his modus operandi resembles that advocated by Daesh. But the investigations did not allow to discover a link with the Islamic State, nor to clarify its real motivations.

The facts are chaotic: the day of his attack, the man first wounds the police officers who control him, then opens fire in a bar of which he is a regular. He calls his father to say that he has made a "mistake", and goes to Orly, where he seizes the weapon of the soldier before being shot.

Violence and multiple drug use

No religious practice, no trace of radicalization, no S card ... On the other hand, the man was known for his great violence, coupled with multiple drug addiction. On the day of the incident, he had used cocaine, cannabis and alcohol. Questioned by Europe 1 after the facts, his father confirmed his addictions and claimed that he had "never been a terrorist".

The judge considers today that the attacker acted alone, which means that his two relatives who had been indicted for association of terrorist criminals should be dismissed.
