It was when Joe Biden was visiting the "Breakfast club" radio show that he was asked about his relationship with the African-American population of the United States following his win in the state of South Carolina, where a majority of the population is African American.

- I won the largest share of black votes ever, including Barack Obama, Joe Biden pointed out, the BBC writes.

During the interview, the presidential candidate was reminded by his staff that he did not have time for more questions. Then Charlemagne Tha God, who did the interview, asked Joe Biden to come back because he had more questions about the electoral movement.

Charlemagne Tha God himself tells CNN that it was "a shock" for him to hear the statement. Joe Biden has since apologized and said he should not have been "so cocky".

- No one should feel compelled to vote for a party because of their skin color, religion or background, he tells ABC News.
