Aksyonov called the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Crimea a landmark

This is stated in a statement on Aksyonov’s page on VKontakte.

He noted that the Crimeans who spoke at the UN in online mode spoke about the real situation in Crimea.

“This is a very important and significant moment: people who rightfully represent the people of Crimea, and not professional liars and provocateurs, spoke at the UN,” Aksyonov said. 

According to him, "whoever wanted to hear the truth, he heard it."

Aksyonov commented on the refusal of representatives of Ukraine and a number of Western countries to participate in the meeting.

“This is just the case when the truth hurts my eyes,” he said.

He also thanked the Russian Foreign Ministry for protecting the rights of residents of the Crimea and "debunking the myths of anti-Crimean propaganda."

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine, Great Britain, the USA and Estonia did not participate in the meeting of the UN Security Council according to the Arria formula on the situation in Crimea.
