Yesterday, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the killing of 21 terrorists in the targeting of security forces in two places in North Sinai, after receiving information that terrorist elements were planning to carry out terrorist operations in conjunction with Eid Al Fitr.

The ministry said in a statement yesterday, “In continuation of efforts to pursue terrorist elements involved in the implementation of terrorist operations or planning to implement them and targeting the armed forces and police elements and the economic capabilities of the state, information has been available to the national security sector about taking a group of terrorist elements from a farm in North Sinai A headquarters for accommodation, training and planning to carry out hostilities and pushing a number of their elements to focus on a house in Bir al-Abd to carry out terrorist operations in conjunction with the blessed Eid Al-Fitr ».

The statement added that the "Alukrin" was targeted simultaneously and the exchange of fire with those elements resulted in the killing of 14 members of the farm, and found in their possession (13 automatic weapons, three explosive devices, an explosive belt, and a wireless device), and the killing of seven members at home, They were found with (four automatic weapons, two explosive devices, and an explosive belt).

The statement indicated that the dealings resulted in the injury of two officers participating in the mission, legal measures were taken and the Supreme State Security Prosecution undertook the investigation.
