Jordan Diakiese, a former academy player from Paris Saint-Germain, has died at the age of 24. The player's current club AS Furiani Agliani announced on Friday on Facebook.
The club wrote emotional memoirs to Diakies, who died in Paris on Thursday.
- Arriving last July, this wonderful boy was a winner both on and off the field. He always smiled, was businesslike, hardworking and adapted to the team really quickly.
PSG also expressed its condolences on Twitter.
- We will never forget you, Jordan, the update wrote.
Diakiese, who performed on the French national team under the age of 20, went through the entire PSG academy path after joining the club at the age of 13. However, he never broke into the composition of the PSG representative team, and left the club in 2015.
Diakiesen's PSG teammates include Presnel Kimpembe, who still plays, and Kingsley Coman, the star of Bayern Munich.
The winger, who has since played in Switzerland and Croatia, returned last summer to Furiani Agliani, who is playing in France’s fifth league.
The cause of Diakies's death is unknown.
