"I have full understanding that the students need to celebrate, if you can find solutions with the least possible congestion, I think it will go well," state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell told SVT.

Despite this, the municipal high schools in Stockholm and Gothenburg decided to cancel the springs.

- I'm really sorry about this, it has really affected one for several weeks now, says Ester Hillgren, a student at Hvitfeldtska high school in Gothenburg.

But that is not the case throughout the country. Bollnäs, Avesta, Lund and Luleå have come up with a bit more creative solutions to the student leap. This applies, among other things, to jumping in the car, live broadcast celebrations and a maximum number of guests per student.
