It was during Wednesday morning that an elderly man was found deceased in his home in Västervik. The incident is being investigated as a murder because the police cannot rule out that crime has been committed.
The 85-year-old man who was initially arrested on probable cause for murder was released on Friday morning.
- The man is still suspected, but the suspicions have become weaker, says prosecutor Kjell Jannesson.
Since Wednesday, a technical examination has been conducted and several hearings have been held.
- Quantities of technical examination and results from autopsy remain, NFC will also analyze some traces, says Kjell Jannesson.
There are no more suspects in the investigation.
