May 22, 2020 The United Kingdom will introduce a 14-day quarantine for those entering the country from 8 June to avoid a second wave of infections. Priti Patel, UK secretary of state for home affairs, said during a press conference. The measure will apply to all travelers entering the country, including British citizens.

Those arriving in the United Kingdom will have to fill in a form to inform the authorities of where they will comply with the quarantine period and if they do not have the opportunity to have a suitable place to comply with the prescription, the State will provide them with the correct accommodation. Failure to comply with the new rules will result in a fine of one thousand pounds.

France threatens reciprocity
France "deplores" the 14-day quarantine decision adopted by Britain against travelers from abroad and "stands ready" to adopt "reciprocity measures" as soon as the British device enters into force: this is what the Paris Interior Minister in a statement to the France Presse agency.
