The test was completed in Huailai County, Hebei Province, and it was the first public appearance of China's Mars exploration mission. The test was conducted in Asia's largest extraterrestrial celestial body landing test site. The process of hovering, obstacle avoidance, and slow descent of the lander under the Martian environment was simulated, and the design correctness was comprehensively verified.
According to reports, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of China invited some foreign embassies in China and international organizations to observe the test on the spot, which is an important measure for China to pragmatically develop international exchanges and cooperation in spaceflight.
