The sun that shone with its presence attracted the Stockholmers to the archipelago, despite the fact that Waxholmsbolaget went out with a recommendation to travel during Christ's Ascension.

At Strömkajen, queues had been formed during the day and the crew had to stop travelers who wanted to go with the ferries. Kristina Tollbäck was one of those who waited for the ferry until Thursday.

- It was snoopy. There were about 40 people who did not come when we went, she says.

May not be able to travel back

Waxholmsbolaget itself says that they have made calculations on how many passengers the ferries can take to make it airy and safe to travel with them.

- We concluded that we can take half of the seats, or half of the total number of passengers, depending on whether the weather allows us to be open on the roof. In this way, we can make sure it is not crowded on board, says Johan Nordgren and continues;

- It can then be difficult if there is bad weather during the weekend and we cannot bring as many passengers back.

"We did as best we could"

Waxholmsbolaget has invested the resources they have in the form of ferries and personnel, according to Johan Nordgren.

- We can't do much more. We have followed the recommendations of the Public Health Authority and have a situation where everyone is aware of how to travel in traffic. We continue to discourage traveling with us if it is not necessary, he says.
