The snow that remains on the mountain in Sälen now attracts not only the locals. The biathlon stars Johanna Skottheim and Stina Nilsson, who both now compete for Lima SKG Biathlon, have for some days received unexpected snow training.
- Magical, says Johanna Skottheim, who has just taken a place in the biathlon team. She comes from Transtrand just below the mountain and has never before trained on snow like this at the end of May.
In recent days, Skottheim has been training with Stina Nilsson from Malung, the long-distance skiing star who has just switched to biathlon.
- Yesterday morning we went where it was completely traced. Fantastic, says Johanna Skottheim.
In some parts of the mountain, there is still over two meters of snow. In modern times, cross-country ski trails have never been drawn so late in the season in Sälenfjällen.
