It was 2004 that a 22-year-old man was reported missing in the Ljungby district. The police then started an investigation and searched the man - without success.

Now the case can be concluded by the discovery of skeletal parts made by two private individuals in the terrain outside Ljungby at the end of April.

No crime is suspected

The police opened a murder investigation at the finding. Since then, a technical examination of the site and forensic autopsy of the skeletal parts have been done.

Police now confirm that the remains belong to the missing 22-year-old, but they no longer suspect any crime.

Police say in a press release that the 22-year-old's relatives have been notified.
