In mid-June last year, the police were alerted to gunfire in the center of Gottsunda. Several shots were fired at a car and a man sitting in the vehicle was hit.
Early on, the police received information that they were two perpetrators, one of whom was first arrested in April and has since been detained. The man is now being charged with attempted murder and serious weapons crime. He refuses a crime.
- It has been a car chase where from one car was shot with gun and automatic weapons at the other car. This person sat on the passenger side with the automatic weapon and fired a large number of shots, so it can be nothing more than attempted murder, says prosecutor Anne Sjöblom.
The sequence of events was captured on surveillance cameras and the film - along with testimony - is part of the evidence that will be filed during the trial.
The other perpetrator is not yet identified.
- Goalkeepers have not wanted to participate in the investigation, says Anne Sjöblom.
