The oppositions asked the State Wednesday to "be respected" if Renault confirmed considering the closure of four sites in France, as claimed by the Canard Enchaîné.

"The management and the State must deny today to reassure employees, subcontractors and municipalities. Or the State must withdraw its aid and be respected", reacted on Twitter the boss of the PCF Fabien Roussel.

According to the weekly stairique, the French automaker plans to close four sites in France - Flins, Dieppe, Choisy-le-Roi and the Foundries of Brittany - as part of a plan of 2 billion savings which must be unveiled May 29. According to a source familiar with the matter, it is not Flins of a closure, but of stopping automobile production to devote the site to another activity.

The French government, Renault's largest shareholder with 15% of the capital, plans to guarantee a bank loan of around 5 billion euros for the manufacturer.

"Thousands of Renault employees threatened with losing their jobs! Does the next world already look like the one before?" Asked RN spokesman Sébastien Chenu ironically.

"I am surprised, four sites of this importance called into question, it seems enormous to me," was astonished on LCI the boss of the Republicans Christian Jacob. "You have to look at it closely, the state has a decisive role in Renault," he added.

A recovery plan is needed "from the summer, it is essential to act now", in particular for the automobile which "is impacted and will be over time", reacted on Public Sénat the boss of deputies LR Damien Abad, while the government announced Monday the announcement "within 15 days" of a plan to support the automobile.

"I do not believe that it is redundancy freezing mechanisms that will answer these questions" but we must "support" companies, "he said.

"Renault must in exchange for state aid, the 5 billion euros (...) take firm commitments: no factory closures," asked BFMTV Matthieu Orphelin, the co-president of the new "Ecology Democracy Solidarity" group in the Assembly. Mr. Orphelin recommends in particular a "relocation plan in France" of Renaut and PSA in exchange for public aid.
