Paramedics, citizens and residents of Dubai who were infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), returned to the front line with the virus, after recovering from it, setting an example for heroism and sincerity at work.

The Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Khalifa bin Dray, told «Emirates Today» that some paramedics did not return to their homes, and did not see their families, since the beginning of the pandemic, in order to ensure their safety.

He said that paramedics are the heroes of the confrontation on the first line of defense, and that they give a role model in sincerity and dedication to work.

He added that the institution has provided the necessary equipment and means of protection to protect them from the virus, adding that the infection rate among the paramedics is less than 1% of the total staff. He said that the measures taken by the Foundation to protect its employees include providing thermal cameras and sterilization gates, subjecting them to periodic checks, in addition to carrying out continuous visits to their housing, and eating with them, in order to support them in their mission and hard work.

Medics at the institution confirmed that they were stationed in the first line of defense for about 12 hours a day, since the beginning of the crisis, with the aim of dealing with the injured and suspected of being injured. They added that they are vulnerable to infection, and this prompted some of them to stone themselves away from their homes, in the interest of their family, confirming their continued fight against the epidemic without fear or hesitation.

The paramedics said: Hamda Al Hammadi, Hamza Ahmed, Faisal Abdullah, Abbas Khan, Venus Folarenti, Emiliano Jundai and Grishma Vargis, they were infected with the "Covid-19" virus, while performing their emergency tasks, but that did not prevent the recovered from returning to work, which was What they will also initiate after they overcome the ordeal of infection, confirming that they are determined to tackle the virus and get rid of it completely.
