Nearly 500,000 sexual photos of minors, tens of thousands of videos… A 44-year-old man was tried on Tuesday before the Thionville criminal court in Moselle. All these files were found in April 2019 on the computer of this father, reports Le Républicain Lorrain .
Before the court, the defendant, who had already been sentenced in 2011 for a similar case, acknowledged the facts. He tried to explain them by referring to his childhood, when he was allegedly abused by his stepfather. "What I did is very bad, I regret it, I do everything to get out of it, for my daughter and for society," he said, according to the regional daily.
The 40-year-old was given eight years of socio-judicial follow-up with an obligation of care and a ban on working in a profession related to children.
