At the beginning of September last year, two people were cut in connection with a brawl and a car crash on Kungsgatan in Uppsala. Twelve people were indicted for various crimes, including attempted murder and serious drug offenses, as a large number of drugs were found during the police investigation.

Now the verdict has come and it says that six of the seven defendants can be linked to the assault but only two of them, are convicted of participating in the violence. The prosecutor primarily wanted to convict the men for attempted murder, but they were sentenced to gross misdemeanor as it is not proven to have intended to kill the plaintiff. The men are sentenced to three years in prison each.

Two other men are also sentenced in the same sentence for serious drug offenses for transferring or storing drugs and three others are being convicted of carrying the drug. The two convicted of serious drug offenses are sentenced to three years in prison and one year and six months in prison, respectively.

In addition, a number of other charges were tried such as traffic violations and other minor crimes in this context.
