  • Coronavirus: De-escalation in Spain: what can be done and when in each phase
  • Politics Pedro Sánchez will manage to extend the state of alarm until June 7 with the votes of Cs and PNV

The spokesman for Citizens in Congress, Edmundo Bal, has warned Pedro Sánchez that "he does not have a new partner" despite the fact that the second pact between the Government and Cs has been closed in two weeks. Bal has justified his affirmative vote in today's plenary session to the state of alarm because it means "voting yes for the Spanish, not for the government."

As Inés Arrimadas did 15 days ago, Bal has claimed that Cs is "the useful, pragmatic and moderate center party" and, as such, has demanded a series of conditions from the Government that the Executive has finally promised to comply with.

Bal has been very critical of Pedro Sánchez's management and attitude throughout the coronavirus crisis, which has been, he said, "intransigent", "unilateral", "he was late", "he has made many mistakes" and " has rectified many times. " But, despite this, "you have to vote responsibly" because what Congress decides today is "if the lack of confidence has to be now, when we are winning the battle against the virus."
