20 May 2020 In the margins of the discussion on the motion of no confidence (rejected) against Bonafede in the Senate, the Minister for Regional Affairs, Francesco Boccia, speaks to Fanpage.it about the next decisions that are due by the government in phase two of the emergency Covid, in particular those on the reopening of regional borders to be taken by June 3rd.

"Every week there is a thermometer of the regions - explains Boccia referring to the observation that the government must operate on the data of the epidemiological trend - the tightness of intensive care, tampons, territorial prevention, the resilience of health facilities, all this every week it tells us if a region is low risk, medium risk or high risk. If there were some high risk regions you will know it a few days before opening, if any of them were to be high risk it will not open ".

Regarding the political situation, Boccia excludes the government reshuffle suggested by some commentators given the new tensions within the majority: "Yes, we exclude it because it does not find a residence in our vision of politics - says Boccia and in reference to the discussion on the motion of no confidence (rejected ) towards Bonafede explains - This
day was out of tune compared to the condition in which the country is. "From this afternoon we return to deal with the health and economic emergency." On the next steps of the Boccia government he explains "The health emergency was the priority absolute, saving jobs and reviving the economy is the next step. We have given responsibility and autonomy to the regions and it is now clear that we need to increase liquidity, resources for businesses. We must not justify ourselves, we must answer yes to citizens ".
