According to The Washington Post, a federal court in Virginia approved the plans of the American company RMS Titanic Inc to get Marconi's wireless telegraph from the sunken ship, which the crew used in 1912 to contact neighboring ships and call for help.

The expedition using underwater robots is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2020.

It is noted that the possibility of restoring the telegraph to working condition will be investigated.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is opposed to the project to raise artifacts from the Titanic, which notes that the wreck should be perceived as a grave and respect the memory of the dead, and treated as a “mine” for museums.

Earlier it was reported that RMS Titanic Inc is going to remove part of the roof of the Titanic cabin in order to get a radio station and hundreds of other artifacts from the sunken ship.
