“The issue of extending UTII for one year was considered - this was one of the proposals of the Ministry of Finance to a plan to combat the new coronavirus infection,” the report said.

The ministry noted that following the discussion "it was decided not to do this."

As the Finance Ministry emphasized, the issue has now been removed from the agenda, the proposal is not relevant.

The Agency clarifies that the UTII expires on January 1, 2021.

The special tax regime can be used by entrepreneurs in various types of activities: in retail trade, catering, and a number of other services. Their list is established by the Tax Code.

Users pay tax on the fixed income imputed to them, while the amount actually received does not matter.

In the fall of 2019, the Opora Rossii organization came up with a proposal to reform the tax system for small businesses.

The proposals were related to the fact that in 2021 the abolition of UTII is planned, which, according to the business association, remains popular among entrepreneurs - it is supported by more than 2 million taxpayers.
