Guan Zhongqi, deputy consul general of the Consulate General in Lagos, told Xinhua News Agency that the Consulate General contacted the Nigerian Navy immediately after receiving news that the Chinese fishing boat was hijacked by pirates. The Nigerian side immediately dispatched a patrol boat, successfully intercepted the robbed fishing boat, rescued the crew and captured several pirates. Under the escort of the Nepalese navy, the fishing boat arrived at the port of Lagos on the 18th, and all 18 crew members were well.
