The drug trade in the Saltskog district has been going on for a long time. Following tips from the public in the area, the police, after a period of investigation, were able to strike at several addresses during Tuesday.

Seven people aged 19-25 have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in drug sales - the chiefs are suspected of serious drug offenses, Södertälje police say.

- We have identified who sells the drug and after that increased our work against the drug dealers. This has led to today's strike, says Daniel Löfgren, operational coordinator at the police in Södertälje.

In connection with the house searches, the police have seized cannabis and cocaine. The police are also investigating money laundering.

Tuesday's effort is included in Tore 3, which is the name for the police's low-intensity and long-term work against the serious organized crime in Södertälje.
