The ex-LREM candidate for mayor of Paris Cédric Villani, who has just joined the new group "Ecology Democracy Solidarity" in the Assembly, said Tuesday "open to discussion" with En Marche if the attitude of Agnes Buzyn compromises the "candidacy" of the movement.

"If ever Agnes Buzyn has an attitude which compromises the candidacy of the running Republic, if the campaign of the running Republic finds itself distraught at the attitude of its head of list and if they wish to come and discuss with me the best way to transform Paris, I will remain, as always, open to discussion ", explained Mr. Villani on France Inter.

"Honestly, I did not understand today whether she maintains her candidacy or not," he added, stressing "to what extent the candidacy of Agnes Buzyn was the object of uncertainty and how point Agnès Buzyn herself sent contradictory signals as for its maintenance or not ".

"I am independent, I am no longer part of the Republic on the move and this campaign has been mounted in a free manner," he said.

He recalled that he wanted to postpone the municipal elections in March 2021 because we "are still in an extremely sensitive period of deconfinement, in which we must be very careful" in terms of health.

Ms. Buzyn had won only 17.3% of the vote in the first round, far behind the outgoing socialist mayor, Anne Hidalgo (29.3%), and her rival LR, Rachida Dati (22.7%). Mr. Villani had obtained 7.9% of the votes cast.

A providential figure of the municipal in Paris in the dock in the coronavirus crisis, the former Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn lived six weeks in the form of descent into hell, from which she tried to get out in April by putting on the blouse to the hospital.

The environmental candidate for municipal in Paris, David Belliard, estimated for his part Monday "invalidating to claim to the mayor of Paris" the interview that Agnès Buzyn had given in March to the newspaper Le Monde on the "masquerade" of these elections .
