Mishustin returned to the duties of Prime Minister of Russia

This happened due to the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree declaring the document null and void, and the appointment of First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov as acting Prime Minister.

“To recognize as invalid the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 30, 2020. No. 300 “On the performance of the duties of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation,” the Kremlin press service cites the text of the decree.

On April 30, Mishustin reported that he had a coronavirus infection with COVID-19. Shortly afterwards, Putin signed a decree appointing Belousov as acting chairman of the government in connection with Mishustin’s illness.
