  Yuzhi Shangshan, the director of the Prince Zoo, said that although he hoped to extend the lease contract again, he decided to return it to China in view of the happiness of the "dandan". Thanks to the arrival of "Dandan", it healed Kobe citizens who were traumatized by the Hanshin earthquake.

  Dandan was leased from China in 2000, and its lease contract will expire in July this year after two extensions. Calculated according to the lifespan of the giant panda, "Dan Dan" is already old.

  After "Dandan" was returned to China, there were 9 giant pandas raised in Japan, including 3 at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo and 6 at the "Adventure World" Zoo in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture.
