The helicopter flew without ammunition, reports RIA Novosti.

“At about 20:00, while performing a training flight 20 kilometers from the village of Klin (Moscow Region), the Mi-8 Russian Aerospace Forces helicopter made a hard landing on a deserted area,” the report said.

As noted by the Ministry of Defense, as a result of the emergency, "the helicopter crew died of their wounds." 

On May 7, as a result of a hard landing of a Mi-35 military helicopter in Crimea, three people were injured.
