With travel restrictions and quarantine rules, summer 2020 will be a really bad year for the hotel industry.

The trade and employers' organization Visita expects around 25,000 summer jobs to disappear when hotels, restaurants and amusement parks gap empty in the summer, and it is in addition to the permanent jobs that have already disappeared or risk disappearing.

Källan hotels in Åmliden in Västerbotten have been severely affected, although they have received support for short-term permits.

- More action is needed. If nothing else happens and we do not receive more support, we can stay afloat until the beginning of next year, longer than we will not be able to, ”says hotel CEO Celia Yoshida Ahlén.
