Yesterday, Dakahlia Governor Ayman Mokhtar announced that he had contracted Corona virus.
The governor said during a telephone interview on the program "On My Responsibility", with the journalist Ahmed Moussa, on the "Echo Al-Balad" screen, that he felt tired three days ago and after returning from a meeting with the Minister of Irrigation Mohamed Abdel-Ati, he asked the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health to take smears from him.
"As soon as I returned from the meeting with the minister, I felt exhausted and coughed, so I went to rest and asked the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Saad Makki, to come and take the smears, and he actually attended with a nurse and took a swab from the nose and mouth, and the undersecretary confirmed and the result appeared after breakfast and it was positive."
He continued, "I did not go to the rest for fear of transmitting the infection to my colleagues. Currently, I am following the protocol of treatment of the Ministry of Health, as chest x-rays and blood tests were done to start receiving treatment."
Regarding having any symptoms of corona, he said, "There are no symptoms other than stress and cough ... but my temperature is normal and my health is good."
And he added: "Praise be to God, with the trust of the people of the province, my sisters, my friends, and the people who love me while I love them, that my condition, praise be to God, is very good, and it continues to give until the last breath."
Regarding what he is suffering now, the governor of Dakahlia confirmed that he is currently suffering from "coughing": "It is what annoys me a little, but praise be to God, cough is present, breathing is good, and my temperature is good. God is good and normal, like normal, as if I am not visible, the problem I have in stress "I feel that it is not me, neither with my effort nor my strength, it is the problem."
For his part, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation stressed that he is in good health and that all precautionary measures were taken to prevent the spread of the Corona virus during his meeting with the governorates of Dakahlia, and these measures included wearing masks and gloves, as well as preserving the distance between and the social dimension during the meeting and not shaking hands, according to the «Egyptian Today".
In a statement yesterday evening, the Minister indicated that the office will be sterilized with disinfectants, and all contacts will be examined in light of the concern for the health of the Ministry's employees.
It is noteworthy that the governor of Dakahlia, Ayman Mukhtar, had previously been criticized on social media for not wearing a muzzle during his visit to the Isolation Hospital in Tami al-Amdid last March.
The governor, Ayman Mokhtar, commented on the incident that the hospital was not open at the time and did not receive any cases of the new Corona virus «Covid 19».
