He was not injured, but was still taken to Pau hospital to make sure everything was fine. A 79-year-old man was trapped in a tree on Monday afternoon while paragliding in the sky of the Hautes-Pyrénées, reports France Bleu Occitanie.

Originally from neighboring Béarn, the septuagenarian experienced problems during his descent, above the Couraduque pass (1,367 m). It could not land and ended up perched fifteen meters high, in the town of Arrens-Marsous. Alerted by his wife, the firefighters intervened to rescue him on the territory of this village located 45 km southwest of Tarbes.
