[Commentary] On the eve of the National People's Congress and the National People's Congress, Shen Kaiju, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a professor at the Law School of Zhengzhou University, said in an interview with reporters that he will bring the proposal on "cultivating high-end foreign-related legal talents" this year.

[Same period] (Shen Kaiju, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference)

As our China develops, becomes stronger, and increasingly moves towards the international community, we have encountered more and more legal problems, and we need more and more high-end foreign-related legal talents. But at present, there are still many problems in the cultivation of high-end foreign-related legal talents in our country, mainly because of the small and medium-sized ones. There are few high-end foreign-related legal talents, and we have fewer legal assistants. As a generalized homogenous legal talents, there are many.

For legal education, I think it is better to take an elitist approach. Many international students also study law. It is difficult for their nationals to study law in the United Kingdom and the United States. If you are a foreigner and the language is not your native language, it is even more difficult for you to study law, so we Through the path of studying abroad, it is difficult to guarantee the quantity to solve this problem. Therefore, my suggestion is to go on studying abroad. At the same time, we must take advantage of our Hong Kong and Macau, and cooperate with some universities in the Mainland and Hong Kong to solve the current dilemma in training our high-end legal talents.

I think that for some qualified universities in China, especially some foreign-language universities, the establishment of a law department must combine this foreign language advantage with the law. I think these two combinations are the main channels for training our high-end foreign-related legal talents.

I hope that the country will make some adjustments in its policies. In the school-run policy, the policy for returning students to China, and for the National Study Abroad Fund Committee, in the future, we will pay more attention to subsidizing some students studying abroad to study for doctoral degrees abroad. At the same time, we also It is necessary to select people with legal backgrounds from this domestic university and government agency, and those with a good foreign language foundation. We must go to this international organization to work and exercise, to increase our talents in our work, to train talents, and make many strategies. Simultaneously. I hope this problem can be alleviated as soon as possible.
