After a turbulent weekend in the Basque Country and Navarra , with authorized and unauthorized mobilizations by the nationalist left in favor of ETA prisoners, the Ministry of the Interior today announced three new movements in its penitentiary policy. This is the approach of three inmates of the terrorist organization to prisons in Pamplona and Madrid.

Last week, the Department of Grande Marlaska agreed to bring other ETA prisoners closer and progress, including the assassin of General Veguillas . Those movements sparked a battery of parliamentary initiatives by the opposition . The PP raised to the Congress questions for the Government, for its interior minister, in which it asks for all the data of the penitentiary movements on the ETA prisoners during the state of Alarma.

Because, in addition, the movements coincide with the petition of Podemos and all nationalist formations to the Government to launch a massive release and a dynamic of rapprochement of prisoners due to the coronavirus crisis.

Now, as announced by the General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions , it has ordered the approach of three inmates convicted of terrorism when sanitary circumstances allow it.

This is Íñigo Gutiérrez Carrillo, who will be taken from Valencia to the Madrid VI Penitentiary Center. According to Interior, he entered prison on July 27, 2008 and is serving a 14-year sentence for the crimes of collaboration with an armed gang and the deposit of arms and ammunition. The Treatment Board of the Valencia Penitentiary Center has proposed the application to the first degree of article 100.2 of the Penitentiary Regulation and its transfer to the Madrid VI families module.

The second inmate to obtain prison benefits is María Lizarraga Merino . She will be transferred from the Valencia Penitentiary Center to Madrid VI, in Aranjuez. He entered prison on December 18, 2008 and has a sentence of 19 years and 13 months for the crimes of illegal association, falsification of a public document, possession of explosives, illegal possession of weapons, theft and theft. The Treatment Board of the Valencia Penitentiary Center has proposed its progression to second grade and transfer to the Madrid VI families module.

The third of the ETA members is Francisco José Ramada Estévez . He will travel from the Murcia I Penitentiary Center to the Pamplona prison. He entered prison on January 13, 2001 and is serving 26 years and 3 months of sentence for attacks, kidnapping and collaboration with an armed gang.
