“As of May 18, verification of the package of documents of the three companies of the Aeroflot group was completed ... The total amount of subsidies provided by Aeroflot PJSC, Rossiya Airlines JSC and Avrora Airlines JSC amounted to 7.89 billion rubles,” RIA News post.

The department said that the orders were signed by the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko and aimed at "partial cost compensation" due to the situation with coronavirus.

Documents from six more airlines are under consideration at the Federal Air Transport Agency. Applications were submitted by SmartAvia, Ural Airlines, Siberia, Azur air, Azimut and Red Wings. 

Earlier, the Russian government allocated 23.4 billion rubles to support domestic airlines, which suffered from the situation with COVID-19.
