In cooperation with ENOC and ADNOC, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has launched a periodic program to sterilize its stations for the rapid charging of electric cars at petrol stations deployed in Dubai.

The commission confirmed that it had taken precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus emerging (Covid-19), in line with the leadership directions and recommendations of the World Health Organization.

The authority provides more than 240 charging stations for electric cars, and the authority has extended the free charging period for non-commercial vehicle owners registered with the "Green Charger" service, until December 31, 2021.

As for owners of commercial cars and government and semi-government bodies, they have to pay a fee of 29 fils per kilowatt hour.
