Only 50 people at the Simstadion in Varberg this summer

To follow the recommendations of the Public Health Authority, the municipality has taken measures when the Simstadion in Varberg opens for the season.

Municipal outdoor pools are available in three additional Halland municipalities.

Here's how this goes:

The four municipal outdoor swimming pools will open and the summer swimming schools start the week before midsummer, announces Christer Johansson, head of culture and leisure, in Laholm municipality.

- But we will certainly have a discussion with the Public Health Authority if we can let in as many people as possible and what distance requests we need to have for visitors. There have been no restrictions on our indoor baths - nor has it been a problem since the number of visitors has dropped dramatically, he says.

Discussions are still ongoing about how summer will be for the outdoor swimming in Ätran and Vessigebro.

- We are currently conducting risk assessments for both the outdoor swimming pool and the summer swimming school right now. We had wanted the Public Health Authority to make a recommendation, says bath manager Veronica Wintvik.

During week 21, news is expected for the Crime Swimming Stadium, Getingebadet and Furulundsbadet in Oskarström.

- Usually we open the outdoor bath on June 1, and that is what we are dealing with again this year - so far, says Izabela Balog Topalovic, unit manager for the municipality's bathing facilities in Halmstad.
