New York State Governor Andrew Como said Saturday that the new confirmed Covid-19 cases in the state are mostly from people who have gone out of their homes to shops, sports or meet others, and are not among the primary workers.

He stated in his daily press conference about the Corona virus that "this person was infected and went to the hospital or was infected and went home and infected others in the house."

State data showed that the number of new cases in different parts ranged between 2100 and 2500 per day. The number of new cases decreased to 2419 on Saturday from 2762 on Friday.

Last week, Como said, he envisioned that the people whose actions require going to work are the source of the new cases, adding, "This proved to be completely wrong."

He pointed out that "the incidence rate among the primary workers is lower than the general public, and these new cases are mostly from people who do not work."
