Today, Saturday, the official Israeli channel, "Kan", warned Jordan's King Abdullah II of translating his threats to Tel Aviv into actual steps if they annexed parts of the occupied West Bank, and said that the threats may include reducing the level of relations.

In an analysis posted on its website, the channel's Arab affairs commentator, Roi Kayes, said that the steps could begin to reduce the level of relations between Jordan and Israel.

Kayes added that the King of Jordan is well aware that if the annexation step is implemented, the Kingdom of Jordan can formally turn into an alternative homeland for the Palestinians, and since this is the largest nightmare of the Jordanian royal house, it is time to escalate the tone towards Israel.

On the possibility of Oman canceling the peace treaty signed with Tel Aviv in 1994, Kayes said that the road to canceling the peace treaty is still long, but that the level of relations is severely reduced.

He added, "We saw what happened to the areas of Al-Ghamr and Al-Bagoura, where Jordan recently recovered them after 25 years of renting them to Israel, against the background of moving the American embassy to Jerusalem, declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel, and the stalemate in the peace process with the Palestinians."

And Kaiss considered that public opinion in Jordan - which supported the step of immersion and the cow - would certainly not oppose other steps from the Jordanian side once the annexation was implemented.

Interview with the King of Jordan
Earlier, the Jordanian king said in an interview with the German magazine "Der Spiegel" published yesterday, Friday, that if Israel takes any steps to annex parts of the West Bank, it will lead to a major clash with his country.

Asked whether he would suspend the peace treaty signed between his country and Israel in 1994, the king replied, "I do not want to make threats or create an atmosphere of discord and bickering, but we are studying all options."

The agreement signed between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his partner in the prospective government coalition, Benny Gantz, is to start proposing a bill to annex the Jordan Valley and Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank in early July.
