May 16, 2020 Cybercriminals claim to have documents on President Donald Trump and threaten to publish them if they do not receive $ 42 million. According to Variety reports, hackers posted the ransom note on the dark web after violating the computer system of the law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks, stealing files, as well as on Trump, on Lady Gaga, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. The AGI writes it.

"The next person we will publish on is Donald Trump. An election race is underway and we have found a ton of dirty clothes," the hackers would have written, giving a week of time for payment, without providing any evidence or indications on the documents in their possession.

In a statement, the law firm said it was in contact with the FBI and had not paid any ransom. Hackers say they received $ 365,000 in connection with their information theft. "We have been informed by experts and the FBI that negotiating or paying a ransom to terrorists is a violation of criminal laws," Shire Meiselas & Sacks explains to Variety Grubman, "even when huge ransoms are paid, criminals often still leak documents".
