Two students at a profitable secondary school in Fujairah, invented an air generator, that converts steam and moisture into water, and can be used for a variety of purposes, at a lower cost than desalinating sea water.

The student, Amal Abdullah, told «Emirates Today» that she “implemented the project of the air water generator, with her colleague Fatima Muhammad, during three months at the beginning of the current school year, with the aim of participating in the National Festival of Science, Technology and Innovation, and they received full financial support from the school administration. In addition to the great moral and informational support from science teachers in the school.

She stated that the device consists of a fan, a condenser, a power generator, a water purification filter and a reservoir that preserves the water extracted from the air, explaining the method of operation of the device, which begins by pushing the fan with moist air to the condenser, which in turn undertakes the transformation of moisture into potable water for multiple uses, and is collected in a tank prepared for that . She explained that the device contributes greatly to increasing the quantities of safe drinking water, which can be used for irrigation, agriculture and watering of animals, and other other uses, pointing out that this will reduce the cost spent by the state on desalination of sea water, and will reduce the temperature rise that leads to retention Thermal, as it is an environmentally friendly device, powered by solar panels.

And she continued: "We conducted an experiment in a closed place that contained plants, and the device produced 21 liters of water, within 24 hours."
