An identity card stolen in Marseille, bank details stolen from a Yvelines travel agency and an arrest at a wine shop in Toulouse. Pink City police ended a geographically large scam on Tuesday. Alerted following a complaint filed by the company looted in the Paris region, the brigade of repression of astute delinquency (BRDA) of the Pink City went back to a young couple from the Marseille region.
This 20-year-old woman and this 19-year-old man were arrested when they were going to withdraw champagne ordered in advance, under a false identity. The anti-crime brigade had set up a surveillance system in front of the trade. In total, five fraudulent transactions were identified, including several overnight stays in Marseilles hotels, for a total loss of 5,000 euros.
Not their first try
In police custody, the couple partially acknowledged the facts. Already known for similar facts, he was referred Thursday morning to the Toulouse prosecutor's office, for immediate appearance.
