  According to the Peruvian Ministry of Health, Lima is the hardest hit by the epidemic in Peru. As of 14th local time, the number of confirmed cases has reached 52,545. In addition, the outbreaks of Callao and Lambayeque are also relatively serious, with more than 4,000 confirmed cases.

  According to reports, 20 intensive care beds in the Lambayeque Regional Hospital have been completely occupied. At present, patients with new coronary pneumonia in this hospital are at risk of aggravating the condition and may require more intensive care beds. Therefore, medical personnel require the government to intervene in a timely manner.

  According to the Peruvian Ministry of Production, due to the severe epidemic, the state of emergency in the Loreto region of Peru will be extended. In addition, the regions of Tumbes, Piura, La Libertad and Lambayeque in Peru may also be extended.

  Peruvian Defense Minister Walter Matos said that 172 members of the armed forces of the country were diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia, and 7 of them died. Interior Minister Rodriguez pointed out that a total of 4,098 National Police members were diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia and 82 of them died.

  The Plenary Session of the Peruvian Congress approved a bill for members of the Peruvian National Police and armed forces who died of the new coronavirus at work, and will be assessed as "martyrs".
