A new in-depth outline plan will be developed for Mjölby, future plans for the growing city. To get help with ideas, school classes now have to test to rebuild the city in their computers. Caroline Gyllemark is a planning architect in the municipality and leads the work:

- It is the young people who will hopefully live in Mjölby in 20 years, so their ideas and thoughts are very important.

Provides more than old methods

In previous projects she has tried to gather young people's ideas with questions and let them draw, but she finds that creativity gets a much stronger push when they are allowed to build freely in a 3D model of Mjölby. The model was developed by one of her colleagues using map data programmed into the computer game Minecraft.

Wild ideas

When class 4D at Lagmansskolan city plans, a group has made a farm in the middle of the city, one has a roller coaster above Svartån and Isabelle Hård wants a huge unicorn building, with a football pitch under:

- A unicorn where you can sit and have a drink inside your head.
