The ATP and WTA circuits will remain frozen until the end of July, the governing bodies of men's and women's tennis announced on Friday.

The circuits were previously suspended until July 12 inclusive. The rankings remain frozen.

For the ATP circuit, the tournaments of Hamburg, Bastad, Newport, Los Cabos, Gstaad, Umag, Atlanta and Kitzbühel are concerned. Regarding the WTA, these are the tournaments of Bastad, Lausanne, Bucharest and Jurmala.

The North American tour, which will begin in Washington on August 1 and end on September 13 with the US Open final, is now directly threatened. Among the ladies, the organizers of the Montreal tournament, scheduled for August 10 to 16, have already announced the cancellation of the 2020 edition.

Professional tennis has been completely stopped since mid-March. Roland-Garros, scheduled for May, rescheduled its tournament in late September, while Wimbledon announced the cancellation of its 2020 edition scheduled for July. The US Open remains scheduled for the moment in New York from August 31 to September 13.
