May 15, 2020: Severe storms that hit Milan tonight flooded the Seveso river in various parts of the city. The Lambro river is also at risk of flooding. Also this morning the rain falls incessantly and in Cesano Maderno the Seveso river has reached the height of 1.99. Some electrical blackouts also occurred in the flood area.

Marco Granelli, Councilor for Mobility and Public Works of the Municipality of Milan, is monitoring the situation.



The Municipality of Milan has ordered the activation of the Municipal Operational Center (COC) from 6 pm yesterday, Thursday 14 May, following the weather alert for the risk of severe thunderstorms issued by the Lombardy Region Natural Risk Monitoring Functional Center. The implementation of the COC in via Drago allows to graduate the execution of the emergency plan and contextually puts on alert the patrols of the local police and the MM teams. The hydrometric levels of the Seveso and Lambro rivers will be constantly monitored.
