Port Said Governor, Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, revealed on Friday that the imam of a mosque in Port Said, praying for 20 others, is infected with Corona virus.
The Governor said that a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatari Maryam Mosque led 20 people in congregational prayer, and caused the virus to be transmitted to his entire family. Currently, surveillance groups in the Health Directorate are trying to reach individuals who were arriving behind the mosque’s board member, according to “Al-Masry Al-Youm” .
Maj. Gen. Adel Al-Ghadban had followed technical and administrative preparations for the work teams inside the youth city to be ready to receive new cases infected with the new Corona virus, in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
The governor affirmed the daily follow-up of the work progress in the city, directing the governorate bodies to continue cleaning, sterilizing and disinfection work in the city's area on a daily basis, around the clock.
The governor praised the cooperation between the governorate, the Ministry of Health and civil society associations to contribute to providing the needs of the health system to face the repercussions of the current situation.
