The end of a social conflict lasting several weeks for Amazon. Friday, March 15, the American giant of online commerce announced that its distribution centers should resume service, gradually, from May 19.

"We are currently finalizing discussions with employee representatives and the company's social and economic committees at our sites, and we hope to be able to re-open our French distribution centers in the coming days," said the American retail giant. line in a press release. "We are currently working on the gradual reopening of our centers from May 19."

On April 14, the Nanterre court had ordered Amazon to reduce its deliveries to essential products (medical, hygiene and food products) under penalty of heavy fines, and to carry out an assessment of the professional risks weighing on employees of the group due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

A judgment confirmed on appeal, even if the list of authorized products had been expanded to include computer hardware, drugstore and groceries.

Amazon then decided, on April 16, to close its six French warehouses for an indefinite period.
