The goal of the American program is to "provide citizens of Kazakhstan with the tools necessary to gain access to all types of media resources of the 21st century."

As noted in the text of the document, students will learn “how to distinguish real news from fake news”. In addition, they will be taught to handle traditional and social media.

Non-governmental and non-profit organizations, as well as educational institutions with the necessary experience, have the right to apply for participation in the competition.

The applicant who wins the tender for the implementation of the program will have to take part in the selection of teachers. In addition, his responsibilities will include maintaining a database of graduates, developing a curriculum, as well as "posting information about activities in a common group on Facebook."

Earlier it was reported that the United States intended to assist Moldova in implementing a program aimed at "increasing the level of media literacy" of the country's inhabitants.

The goal of the project was to “develop critical thinking skills” of Moldovans in relation to the media.
